Meet our staff...

 Tim Bolen - Senior Pastor

My family came to Covington Christian in 2008 and we all agree, this is a great church full of good people. I love to do life with friends and family who, when the chips are down, will be there when you need them. I understand that a church is people, so there is no “they” without me. I am glad to be a part of a church family who wants to do more than just “go to church”; we want to be a church.

My wife, Mary, and four daughters are the centerpiece of my life. What I read in the Bible and learn about Christianity is daily put to test as a father and a husband; these are my two favorite things to do. Otherwise, I love my dog (English Shepherd), getting out in the woods, am an avid reader of all kinds of stuff, and spend lots of time with my wife (anything with her is fun).

I get to work with a great staff (also my friends), serve a church family that is as much support to me as I am to them, and live my life in a way that hopefully shows people around me that Jesus was not just a great teacher, he was the greatest man to walk the earth. I will meet him some day and when I do, I will be able to personally thank him for giving me a great life, a beautiful family, and faithful group of friends and family that enriched my life in every way.

John Johnson - Music & Worship Leader

Hey guys, my name is John Johnson. I have been the music minister here at Covington Christian Church for about 8 years. Ginger and I have been married for 14 years. We have two children, Skye and Jonathan. We love CCC! I often tell people that Sunday mornings around here feel like you're in you're living room with family because that's what it is...FAMILY! We are natives of Covington. In fact, I have lived on the same road my entire life! I love ALL kinds of music, so you never know what you're gonna get around here. We cover everything from current praise and worship, to hymns and even bluegrass! We also have an awesome youth band and choir that lead can worship.

When I'm not at the church, you can find me working in my recording studio (Johnson Brothers Recording). I love working with songwriters and new artists. I also love Georgia Football, pecan logs, Big Lots and my Mom (not exactly in that order). My favorite thing in the world is being at home with Ginger and our kids. I would love to have you join us in worship! We have something very special at CCC. God is doing great things here!

 Philip Carroll - Student Pastor

Enjoying life to the max -- I am a University of Georgia student who has an extravagant God, a beautiful wife with a beautiful heart named Kari, an amazing family and stellar friends who are always there for me. I am a fan of any UGA team, the Atlanta Braves, Hawks and Falcons, Madden NFL, Mountain Dew Livewire, playing sports, listening to music and creating art. I get to hang out, teach and serve the students at Covington Christian Church. I'm constantly amazed at what God is doing in their lives to help reach our world, and am humbled that He could use me as a catalyst. I began working part-time with these students in May 2009 and look forward to coming on board full-time in June. Basically, I live out a pretty sweet journey called life, and absolutely love it. Hope to see you soon!

Diane Langford | Children's Pastor

 Diane Langford - Children's Pastor

Thanks so much for taking the time to check out this page. Allow me to introduce myself to you. My name is Diane Langford. I have been married to the man of my dreams and my high school sweetheart, Andy Langford, for almost 17 years now. God has certainly blessed us beyond our imaginations and led us to some pretty awesome places we would have never expected. Some of the biggest blessings He has given us are our two beautiful children, Alexis and Graham. In my opinion, they are two of the coolest kids you will ever meet. I do admit, as their mom, I am a little biased though. My life is never dull when they are around. One of the many unexpected places God has led me is to several rural villages within the country of Ukraine for six of the past seven years. I went there to share the good news of Jesus with the children and youth but it turned into so much more. What a special place the kids of Ukraine hold in my heart.

Well let me give you a little background as to how I ended up here. We moved to Covington seven years ago because of my husband's job. It did not take us too long to make our church home at Covington Christian. After we had settled in and had been a part of this wonderful body of believers for a year I began to work in the children's ministry. I accepted the official role of Children's Minister just five short years ago. I cannot believe I get to play, teach and learn from these amazing kids every week. Teaching these kids how to love the Lord God with all their heart, mind, soul and strength is what we try to do every time we get together. My goal is for it to be ever present in their minds that they are put here for an audience of One. If you are pleasing God with your thoughts, words and actions - oh, the adventures you will have with Him!

Marcia Poling | Administrative Assistant

 Marcia Poling - Administrative Assistant

My family and I (husband-Craig, children-Sarah, Ryan, Caleb) have been part of Covington Christian for over 20 years, since moving here from the mid-west.  We've all been involved in various ministries over the years.  After serving in the nursery, on the greeting team, and assisting with office tasks as a volunteer, I joined the CCC staff in 2006 as administrative assistant.  My job is to do whatever needs to be done to make our ministries more effective: communicate, move chairs, keep from overbooking our facility, and make sure I meet new people who join us on Sunday mornings. This church family has really been our family since we are so far from our own extended families, and I appreciate them for being here when we need them.  I am so excited about the way God is working in His people here, and look forward to seeing what He has in store for CCC in the future.
